Zulum Tasks Traditional Leaders On Preservation Of Cultural Heritage

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has appealed to traditional and religious leaders to take the lead in mobilizing their subjects especially youths in preserving their norms and values been their identity.

The governor stated this on the occasion of the 2022 Bura Cultural Day organized by Marama Community Development Association which took place at Government Secondary School Marama Play Ground in Hawul LGA of the state.

Represented by his Deputy Governor, Usman Kadafur, the governor said the 2022 Bura Cultural Day with the theme,”Echoes of a Dying Culture: The Bura Experience is apt and at the right time.

Zulum call on the people to continue to send their wards to school as education remains the bedrock of any development in any society, while assuring the people of more developmental projects before the end of administration.

The Emir of Biu, HRH, Mai Mustapha Umar Mustapha commended the organizers of the festival and all the sons and daughters of Biu Emirate for their cooperation and understanding in maintaining and reviving their culture and traditions.

The Emir prayed God to continue to unite them towards the progress and development of their community.
