Zulum Approves Two Days Public Holiday For Voter Registration

The Borno State government has declared Thursday and Friday this week as public holidays.

A circular signed by the Head of Service Mr. Simon Malgwi and made available to Radio Nigeria says this is to enable civil servants and public office holders to obtain their permanent voter’s card.

According to the statement, the approval was granted by Governor Babagana Zulum.

The Borno state Governor Professor Babagana Zulum has approved Thursday and Friday being 21st and 22nd July, 2022 as public holidays to enable civil servants and public office holders in the state obtain their PVC” Mr. Malgwi announced.

The Head of Service urges civil servants and public office holders that are yet to register to do so in order to exercise their civic right in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC had recently extended the voter registration exercise to the end of this month to enable more Nigerians to register.
