The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested youngsters who were friends over fake kidnapping.
According to a confession by the principal suspect Isreal, he masterminded the act intending to collect cool money from his biological father.
On their part, the other two accomplices Fartaci Mustapha Kucol and Zakka Nuh both from Mubi North LGA confessed to the crime, saying Isreal was kept for six days in a faraway village Muvur in Mubi North LGA and later Mubi metropolis where he spent another two days before payment of the ransom, while another accomplice Abdullhamid Mohammed is still at large.
However, after collecting N1m as ransom, Zakka and Fartaci, Abdulhamid short-change Israel as they declared only N500, 000 is the only amount paid by his father as ransom.
After collecting his share Israel came back home in the pretense that he was released unharmed.
However, luck ran out when Emmanuel lodged a complaint with a Marraba Mubi Police Division on the issue and mounted an investigation leading to the arrest of the culprits.
