
President Muhammadu Buhari, says he remains focused on addressing and preserving the security situation of Nigeria.
Nigeria is facing insecurity challenges including insurgency in the Northeast, banditry in the Northwest and North-central, herders-farmers clashes in many parts of the country, kidnappings and inter-ethnic clashes in the South.
Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, who represented the President while appearing on a Channels Television programme, Sunrise Daily on Friday, accused members of opposition for exploiting the country’s security challenges despite the government’s efforts to tackle the insecurity facing the nation.

While Nigerians have expressed concerns over the President’s handling of the insecurity challenges, the presidential spokesperson claimed that the nation is being run under the most democratic government in Nigeria’s history.
