Taraba State House Of Assembly Adopt Bill On Audit Service Commission

Taraba State House of Assembly has adopted the report of the committee on finance and appropriation on the bill Taraba State Audit Service Commission bill 2021.

It was adopted at the plenary after it was critically deliberated.

Presenting the report of the committee the chairman of the committee on finance and appropriation Abdulkarim Mohammed said the committee recommended that the tittle of the bill be recoined among other recommendations.

He said the bill has captured all areas urging his colleagues to give it an accelerated passage.

In their various comments Charles Maijankai member representing Karim one constituency and Abubakar Yahuza Maidala’ilu of Jalingo one constituency applauded the committee despite the short notice did a great job.

Also member representing Takum one and two constituency Garba Ajiya and Mark Bako Useni said the Auditor general should not be made equivalent with Head of service but equivalent to a permanent secretary in the state while commending the committee.

Similarly, Habila Timothy Anderifun member representing Ussa constituency observed that the seat of the Auditor general should be made open to other private sectors who are qualified.

The Members unanimously adopted the report of the committee in a committee of whole.

The speaker Joseph Albasu Kunini reported progress and was referred to the committee on business and rules to reschedule it for the next legislative date.

Also Taraba State house of Assembly has received an executive communication on the forwarding of three years Audited Account of the local government council in the state from 2015 to 2017.

At the pleanary the majority leader Douglas Yahaya Ndatse representing Donga Local government area move a motion for the laying of the submission of the Audited Account at the floor of the house by the chairman public account Adamu Mohammed Kwanchi who is representing good people of Karim lamido 1 constituents.

The report was referred to the committee on public account, local government and chieftaincy affairs and Habila Anderifun member representing ussa constituency and given two weeks to report back to the house.
