Taraba State Government has asked Benjamin Bako to stop his one man campaign of hate against the office and person of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu, saying Benjamin Bako under the support of Jukun Development Association single handedly passed a vote of no confidence on Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.
The statement rubbishes the position of Benjamin who resides in Lagos and has a very shallow knowledge of happenings in his home state, Taraba, blaming Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of failing to resolve the crisis between the Jukun and Tiv.
He further maintained that Governor Ishaku has done a lot to promote peace in Southern Taraba by visiting the crisis areas at Taraba and Benue States borders more than seven times during which he and his Benue State counterpart held meetings with leaders of the Tiv and Jukun communities on the need for the reign of sustainable peace.
He stressed that the Deputy Governor of Taraba State equally visited those areas many times at the instance of the governor and held similar meetings with Benue State stakeholders led by the Deputy Governor of Benue state on the same subject.
It urges the Jukun nation and the entire people of Taraba to ignore and treat all that was contained in Benjamin Bako’s press statement as the utterances of a frustrated man.
