A renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Sheriff Ibrahim Saleh Al-Hussain has commended Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for executing tremendous developmental projects across the state that are people oriented.
He also appreciated the bold steps and courage the governor has embraced to ensure peace and harmony return to the devastated state following the 12 years old Boko Haram insurgency.
The cleric, who was represented by his elder son, Sheikh Mamman Saleh Sheriff Al Hussaini is also the National President of Nigerian National Dawa’a Committee.
In his remark, the Governor called on the Muslim faithful to always propagate and promote peace and unity among themselves while assuring his support to the Zawiyya at all times.
He requested that a handful of educated and qualified members of the Zawiyya be forwarded to him for employment and support.
Highlights of the event included special prayers for peace, unity and stability to reign in the state and country at large.
