Sen. Kabiru Gaya Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has urged government to keep the youths in the country busy with jobs as a better alternative to allowing them to keep government busy.
Sanata Kabiru Gaya gave the advice in an interview with journalists.
He noted that the cost of ignoring the teeming population of employed youths was not good for any country.
He therefore urged government at all levels to engage unemployed youths in agriculture to promote peace within country, saying taking care of the youth is highly important.
He said Millions of youths are unemployed and if they didn’t get jobs to keep them busy and they will keep the government busy.
He also said the government should encourage youths rather than leave them idle doing nothing and an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.
