Police Officer In Kano Get Reward After Rejecting N1m As Bribe

A Police Inspector Garba Saleh Rabo, with the Operations Department, Kano State Police Command, has been awarded for rejecting N1 million offered to him as a bribe.

The acting Managing Director, Kano Consumer Protection Council (CPC) Baffa Dan-Agundi presented N1m to the Inspector and one other, Jamilu Alkasim before the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Dikko.

A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna on Friday said Dan-Agundi noted that Inspector Garba Saleh Rabo and Jamilu Alkasim have done a commendable job by refusing to collect bribe.

The duo of Inspector Garba Saleh Rabo and Jamilu Alkasim are attached to the state Consumer Protection Council task force.

The statement said the two personnel, having received information that expired goods worth billions of Naira were kept in a warehouse, stormed the facility, where N1 million was offered as bribe.

The Commissioner of Police Sama’ila Dikko, called on the good people of the state to emulate them.
