Peace On Mambilla Plateau Will Serve As Model In Addressing Other Communal Conflicts In Taraba – Governor

The Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku says the initiative used in maintaining peace on the mambilla plateau, will serve as a model in addressing other communal conflicts in the State.

The Governor stated this when the Mambilla Speaking Group paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House Jalingo.

He tasked traditional rulers to rise to the rescue mission agenda on peaceful coexistence to tap the abundant resources of the area.

Governor Darius Ishaku urged people on the Mambilla plateau to be patient as efforts are been made to construct road to the site of the Mambilla Plateau.

The Governor also assured the people that when the Mambilla hydro electric power project is completed it would turn around the fortunes of the people.

He thanked them for the visit and promised to do more for them.

Earlier,leader of the delegation who is the Chief of Mambilla Shehu Audu Baju thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for his developmental initiative in the State.

He appealed to the Governor to establish tertiary institution and construct dilapidated roads in the area to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.

The Chief pledged the unalloyed support of the Mambilla Nation to the administration of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.

High point of the visit was the presentation of Mambilla traditional attire to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.

Deputy Majority Leader, Taraba State House of Assembly,Ahmed Jedua,Vice Chairman North East PDP Emmanuel Bovoa,Former PDP Chairman of the State Abdulmumini Vaki,Chairman Sardauna Local Government Area Oliver Wubon were among Mambilla Stakeholders that visited the Governor.
