Normalcy has been restored in parts of Maiduguri, where Boko Haram attack were reported.
A resident who confirmed this said the gunmen infiltrated the community Tuesday at around 5pm.
He explained that heavy sounds gunfire by the gunmen has caused many people flee their homes in and around Jiddari Polo just about time for iftar, Muslims’ time for breaking of fast.
After an hour of the attempted infiltration, about 07:00 pm, another respondent confirmed that the gunshots have stopped.
Those who have fled their homes are also reported to have started going back to their homes since in the night yesterday.
Few minutes after the repelled a lot pictures of neutralised persons suspected to be members of the attackers trending on social Media.
The security sources confirmed that military the attack was repelled by troops with many casualties on the side of the terrorists.
