Nigerian Troops Repels Boko Haram Attack and Kills 6 Terrorists at Gashigar in Borno

Nigerian Army says troops of operation LAFIYA DOLE on clearance operation in Gashigar northern Borno northeast Nigeria repelled an attack and neutralized 6 Boko Haram terrorists.

The Army says some of the terrorists were also wounded during the encounter while items recovered include 1 Anti aircraft Gun, 4 AK47 rifles, 6 AK47 Magazines, 2 Mortar Bombs and 2 Gun Trucks.

A statement by Brigadier General TEXAS CHUKWU Director Army Public Relations stated that two soldiers were wounded during the operation.

Similarly, troops successfully cleared Gambori, Dumbawa, Damsu, Awardi, Kanaram, Laridi, Malumdi and Yuramdi villages all in northern Borno and recovered several items including one Refrigerator, One 14inch TV, two DVDs and a box filled with drugs. Efforts he said are on to arrest fleeing other members of the terrorists group.
