
An attempt by suspected Boko Haram insurgents to capture Kopa village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State Northeast Nigeria has been repelled by troops of the Nigerian army.
A resident in the village who sent a distress call said the insurgents were firing indiscriminately trying to scare everybody but the Police Public Relation Officer in the state Othman Abubakar said attempt by insurgents to overrun a border village between Borno and Adamawa States in Madagali local Government Area has been repelled on Monday evening.
