Nigerian Army Announces N5m Reward for Information About IED Fctory in Northeast

The Nigerian army has announced N5 million reward to any individual or organisation that report the existence of improvised explosive device factory in the north eastern States of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.

Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole Major General Rogers Nicholas who announced this in Maiduguri on Thursday also appealed to the people to be security conscious and report any suspected persons or movements to security agencies.

He outlined achievement recorded since assumption of office which include arrest of 25 would be suicide bombers in Madagali, Mubi, Bama, Konduga and Kumshe adding major roads such as from Maiduguri to Dikwa, Mafa, Gamboru, Ngala, Bama, Banki, Damboa and Monguno have been reopened and functional.

Similarly he said security is every body’s business and charged the people to play their part and called on the media to strike a balance in their reportage so as to sensitise the society to assist security personnel.

The General officer Commanding 7 Devision of Nigerian army Brigadier General Bulama Biu shedding more light on the five million naira reward said the amount would be instantly paid to whoever reports the existence of IED factory in the region.
