Two Alpha Jets of the Nigerian Air Force has destroyed a Boko Haram terrorists’ hideout at Alafa on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest in Borno State, killing some of the insurgents.

In a statement, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, says the airstrike was conducted after some Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions revealed the presence of the fighters, alongside their logistics supplies and equipment located in the area.

He said, the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole dispatched the Alpha Jets to attack the location. Daramola noted that the Force, operating in concert with surface forces, will sustain its operations against the terrorists in the North-East.
