The Nigeria Air Force has commenced the conduct of Operation THUNDER STRIKE in northeast part of the country.
The Operation is an independent Air Interdiction by the Nigerian Air Force to attack selected Boko Haram Terrorists locations in the Northeast, which are currently inaccessible to troops on account of the onset of the rainy season.
Several targets have already been successfully acquired with encouraging results.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, is currently in Maiduguri to enable him have firsthand information on the operation, which is still ongoing.
