Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni has awarded the contract of the completion of Nguru ultramodern market at the sum of N2.6 billion.
The state Commissioner of Commerce, Tourism and Industry, Barma Shettima stated this while signing the contract on behalf of the state government in Damaturu.
He said that the contract was awarded to ADAF BML Company with 12 months duration to complete the project adding that when the Market is completed revenue generation for the state will be boosted.
The market will have facilities that can prevent fire outbreak which in past led to loss of life and property.
He therefore urged the contractor to adhere and comply with the terms of contract on the market building specification, to comply with international standards.
According to him, the completion of the market, will reactivate the states economy through trade, tourism and job creation for unemployed youths.
