Yobe state Government has said it will work hard to ensure full return of normalcy through reconstruction of destroyed public buildings and provision of essential services in affected communities.

Governor Mai Mala Buni stated this during the inauguration of the task force on Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Reconstruction of communities ravaged by insurgency.

The committee on the rehabilitation, resettlement and Reconstruction was first constituted by the immediate past administration of Ibrahim Geidam and now resocitated to continue coordinating the different interventions required to facilitate the restoration of normal life in communities affected by insurgency.

The Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni represented by his deputy Idi Barde Gubana said the move became necessary in order to enable Internally Displaced person’s and other people in the state pursue their legitimate goals.

He remarked that federal government, donour agencies, corporate bodies and individuals have been rendering assistance in their different ways to cushion the hardship being faced by people in the three states worst affected by insurgency in the North East.
