Nigeria: Umara Charged Muslims To Embrace Peace And Stability

Muslim brothers and sisters across the country are charged to embrace peace and stability in the country as few days to celebrate Eid El Maulud celebration.

Eid-El-Maulud is celebrated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar is a very special day in many countries professing the Muslim religion

Professor Ibrahim Umara, Political Science department, University of Maiduguri made the call during an interactive session on a famous Dandal Kura Radio Program Around the World.

Ibrahim Umara stressed the need for Muslims to imbibe tolerance, justice, equity and respect for one another during and after the festive period.

He charged those to celebrate Maulid not to engage act capable to infuriate the people who are not celebrating Maulud as there are because of difference in approaches and understanding of scholars.
