Nigeria has recorded 624 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday bringing total number of reported cases to 41, 804.
The breakdown of the figures released by the NCDC on its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos expectedly leading the pack with 212 cases, while Oyo state comes second with 69 cases.
The record also showed that the country recorded that eight persons lost their lives to the pandemic taking the tally to 868 from Monday’s 860 deaths.
Details of the number of cases recorded by each state on Tuesday July 28, 2020 are: Lagos-212, Oyo-69, Niger-49, Kano-37, Osun-37, FCT-35, Plateau-34, Gombe-33, Edo-28, Enugu-28, Ebonyi-17, Delta-10, Katsina-9, Ogun-8, Rivers-7, Ondo-5, Kaduna-4, Nasarawa-2.
The release further showed that 18, 764 persons have been discharged since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
