Nigeria: President Buhari Did Not Relegate Osinbajo

President MuhammaduBuhari did not downgrade his Vice, YemiOsinbajo by traveling without transmitting a letter to the National Assembly to act on his behalf.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters Senator Babajide Omoworare, has said this while responding to questions at a press conference in Abuja.

Babajide who spoke to Senate Correspondents in company of his counterpart in the House of Representativessaid that the President has not in any way undermined or downgraded the office of the Vice President

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Comrade Adams Oshiomhole also said that the President can exercises and discharge his responsibilities from anywhere in the world.

On his part, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Umar El-Yakub, noted that Buhari is committed to transparency, accountability and good governance.

The Presidential aide insisted that the only case where people could raise issues is when a President is ill and is unable to transmit his absence to the National Assembly.
