Presidency has approved the suspension of acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC.

A reliable source confirmed the development to our correspondent.

Dandal Kura Radio International reports that Ibrahim Magu was invited for questioning before a Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption over alleged misappropriation of recovered funds and others on Monday.

He was subsequently detained by the police and still under the probe.

The presidential probe panel under the leadership of Justice Ayo Salami has however resumed sitting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to sources, Magu is being investigated for abuse of office that include: Alleged discrepancies in the reconciliation of records of the EFCC and the Federal Ministry of Finance on recovered funds and Declaration of N539b as recovered funds instead of N504b earlier claimed.
