Nigeria: Police Confirms Death of 6 People in Clashes Between Herders and Farmers at Adamawa Taraba Border

The Nigerian police have confirmed that the death of six people in clashes between herders and farmers at Adamawa Taraba border early in the week. Farmers and herders in the areas have been locked in circle of attacks and reprisals resulting in death and destruction of property.

Police Spokesman in Adamawa state Abubakar Usman refuted reports that fifty people died in the attack saying two Fulani men and four members of the communities were killed and four houses burnt.

Adamawa state police commissioner of information Ahmad Sajoh condemned the death saying the state government is working towards achieving lasting solution to the problem.
