Nigeria: Police Arrests 93 Kidnappers, Armed Robbers

The Nigerian police paraded 93 suspected kidnappers terrorizing the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

They were arrested by men of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, Special Task Force, and operatives of Operation Puff Adder, established to end kidnapping and other violent crimes on the Abuja-Kaduna road.

The suspects, paraded at Katari town on Thursday, were arrested at different towns and communities of Kachia, Lere, Igabi, Kagarko, Birnin Gwari Zaria, Minna and other villages in the area.

The items recovered from the suspects include a rocket launcher, 35 AK-47 rifles, 21 Dane guns, cutlasses, 500 live ammunition, military camouflage uniforms, daggers, fake $60,000, notes, 12, locally-made guns, foreign revolvers, pistols, and two operational vehicles.
