NIgeria: Police Arrests 276 Armed Robbery Suspects- IGP

The Nigerian Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu has said that the force will continue to improve its institutional capacity with a view to respond to the internal security threats and undertake intelligence-led operations.

Mohammed Adamu made this known during a periodic meeting held with Police Commanders in the country’s capital Abuja.

He said following the launching of Operation Puff Adder in all the states, 44 murder suspects were arrested with the highest number of 7 in Abuja and 6 in Kano northwest Nigeria.

The IGP also disclosed that 276 armed robbery suspects were arrested nation-wide in the period under review.

He then tanked well-meaning Nigerians for their support and commended Men and Women of the Nigeria Police for aligning with his Policing vision for the country.
