The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 238 looters and lawbreakers in the last few days following the looting and vandalism of government and private properties by hoodlums under the guise of searching for COVID-19 palliatives.
Various government items were recovered from the suspects including 8 pairs and one trouser of Custom Uniform, 35 tractors, 22 hand tractors hoes, 28 hand tractors, 12 tricycles, 9 vehicles, and farm tools among others.
Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Olubenga Adeyanju made this known while parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters Yola, stressing that the feat was achieved in collaboration with other security agencies.
The Adamawa State Police Command in collaboration with other security agencies embarked on intensive joint patrol across the state in order to reclaim the public space from criminal elements that were breaking/looting Government, private and Cooperate warehouses in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, advised members of the public to desist from buying looted properties from the miscreants and thanked those who refused to accommodate miscreants and looted goods into their houses.
