The Presidential Committee on Northeast Initiative has again reiterated its committed to support returning communities in the northeast of Nigeria.
Vice Chairman of the committee Tijjani Musa Tumsa gave the assurance in Maiduguri at a meeting with the officials of the Borno State government led by Deputy Governor Usman Mamman Durkuwa.
The meeting was also attended by members of the State assembly officials of the United Nations, Humanitarian agencies, Local and International non-governmental organization and traditional rulers.
The vice Chairman of the committee expressed satisfaction with the level of work achieved so far in Bama at saying that the committee will collaborate with the state government to reconstruct the highway linking Bama to Maiduguri.
Alhaji Tijjani Tumsa also assured that farmers would be supported to restart their lies adding all civil institutions would be supported to ensure that Bama returns to normalcy
