Nigeria: PCNI and CCC Organizes 3 Days Workshop on Conflict Sensitive Communication

A three-day training workshop organized by Presidential Committee on Northeast Initiatives has ended in Maiduguri.
The workshop was facilitated by Centre for Crisis Communication with the theme Appraising the Role of Conflict Sensitive Communication in Addressing violent extremism.

Air Commodore Yusuf Anas executive secretary of Centre for Crisis Communication said the seminar was to collaborate with media, security and response agencies against terrorism and commended the Chairman PCNI for organizing the workshop.

Similarly Chairman of the PCNI General TY Danjuma represented by Vice Chairman Tijjani M Tumsah said northeast Nigeria is the centre of Boko Haram insurgency hence the workshop was organised to fight violent extremism in the region.

PCNI Vice chairman Tijjani M Tumsah urged all participants from security, response agencies and media organisations to practice what they learnt in the workshop positing that national interest is of paramount importance to all.
