Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will act the acting president as President Muhammadu Buhari begins a ten-day vacation in London from tomorrow. Presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina announced the President’s vacation in a statement made available to State House Correspondents yesterday.
In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution, a letter is been issued to the President of the Senate and the Speaker, House of Representatives to that effect.
While the President is on vacation, the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be in acting capacity as President. President Buhari will be in London for the holiday, the statement added. It would be recalled that the President was in London in May this year on a medical trip.
