The Chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume, has call on President Muhammadu Buhari to emulate the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, which recently prosecuted and jailed some identified sponsors of the deadly sect.

The Senate Committee on Army made this known during a press conference shortly after the representative of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, led other Generals to defend the 2021 budget of the Army.

Ndume call on the Nigerian Government to ensure that those who are directly or indirectly involved in Boko Haram activities should be brought to book.

He said he is in disagreement with the Government on the issue of deradicalising and reintegrating of the repentant Boko Haram members and still maintain that.

He said Instead of planning amnesty for the repentant insurgents, efforts should be made to fully rehabilitate the victims of their unfortunate activities.
