Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have killed three Boko Haram terrorists on the Lake Chad shores of Cross Kauwa community in Borno state Northeast Nigeria .
The insurgents were killed in collaboration with troops of Operation Yancin Tapki. In a statement by Spokesman of MNJTF, Col. Timothy Antigha in N’Djamena, Chad, said terrorists attacked troops’ position at Cross Kauwa, 40 kilometers south of Monguno army barracks.
He said the insurgents paid dearly, as three were killed, while dozens escaped with gunshot wounds towards the Lake Chad.
According to him, arms and ammunition were also recovered, including an AK-47 rifle, mortar bomb and General Purpose Machine Gun.
He urged communities to cooperate with the Army by providing credible information on suspicious movements of individuals and groups suspected to constitute security risk.
