Nigeria: INEC Sets To Conduct Supplementary Elections in 18 States

The independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria says it will on Saturday conduct supplementary elections in 18 of the 36 states where certain elections were declared inconclusive.

The Electoral body would complete the Gubernatorial Elections in Kano, Sokoto, Plateau and Benue states, while that of Bauchi and Adamawa will not take place because of court orders. INEC has also fixed April 13 for the return election in Rivers state.

The gubernatorial Election in six were declared inconclusive while that of Rivers was suspended and dozens of states assembly Elections also declare inconclusive paving the way for INEC to conduct supplementary Elections in 18 states Saturday.
