Looted items by hoodlums found at various locations in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas and other parts Adamawa State are valued at billions of Naira.
The Chairman Adamawa State Government Recovery Committee of the looted items Malam Bashir Ahmad disclosed this to Newsmen shortly after monitoring the situation alongside other members of the committee.
Areas visited include Bacchure, Jambutu, kwanan Waya, Wuro Jabbe, Kofare, Rumde Baru, Mopol Barracks, Wuro Hausa Police Station, Lakare, Shagari Quarters among other areas where the community leaders and Vigilante groups recover looted items from the hoodlums.
Ahmad disclosed that a comprehensive evaluation of the total cost of damage will not be immediate as the State government is planning to constitute a committee to that effect.
He commended traditional rulers, community leaders, and Vigilante and Youth groups for the role they played in assisting the Committee towards recovery of the looted items.
Amongst the returned items are tractors, vehicle spareparts, office accessories, fertilizer, grains, hospital equipment, beds, sign boards, aluminum back wires and zink, televisions, refrigerators, water dispensers, furnitures.
