Nigeria: GOC Charges Troops to Deploy Professionalism

The General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army Brigadier General Abdulmalik Biu has again charged his troops to deploy professionalism and basic military tactics to neutralise remnants of Boko Haram terrorist.

Addressing troops of various location during a visit to 21 Brigade in Bama General Bulama Biu asserted that Boko Haram terrorist have been degraded in terms of strength equipment capability and logistics.

While commending the troops for their doggedness the GOC said the situation has changed hence the need for change in tactics by remaining focussed motivated and confident in order to deny the remnant any means of sustenance.

A statement by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu Director Army public Relations quotes the GOC as saying that terrorism is now at its lowest ebb and efforts must be intensified to conclude the war.

The GOC also visited troops in Konduga, Kawuri, Awulari, Banki and Firgi crossing as well as Lt Colonel Mohammed Abu Ali range in Sambisa forest, Nigeria Air force emergency hospital and IDP camp in Bama.
