Nigeria: FG Launches 10,000 Mass Housing In Borno

To fast track the resettlement process in the Northeast the Federal government has launched a ground 10,000 mass housing for the rebuilding of areas destroyed by Boko Haram insurgency in Borno state.

While speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of 10000 mass housing for the victims of Boko Haram insurgency held in Ngom village of Mafa local government area of Borno state on Friday, the minister for Humanitarian Affairs Disaster management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Faruq said the event shows the commitment of President Buhari in ensuring peace is restored back to the region.

She said the Federal.government is constructing 10,000 mass housing across 10 local government areas of Borno state and President Muhammadu Buhari has the passion and concern for the people of the Northeast.

In his remarks the Borno state Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum said they are witnessing another milestone in the history of Borno state.
He also said that the Borno state government has promised to closed camp on or before May 31st. 2021 and these mass houses will assist greatly in the resettlement process.

He further said they want the commission to invest in infrastructure such as roads, schools, water supply among others and urged the ministry to look into the possibility of reconstructing Bama Mubi road, Gombe Bauchi road. Goniri roads among others.
