Nigeria: Federal Lawmaker Zainab Gimba Distributes 200 Wheelchairs In Borno

A Member of the Federal House of Representatives Zainab Gimba, distributed 200 wheelchairs and cash gifts to People Living with Physical Disabilities in her constituency.

Gimba, who represents the people of Bama, Ngala and Kalabalge Federal Constituency also extended her empowerment programme outside her constituency where Persons Living with Disabilities were part of the beneficiaries.

it could be recalled that Gimba had recently distributed 118 vehicles, 200 tricycles, 800 Sewing machines, 400 grinding machines and 492 Water Pump machines to her constituency.

Gimba, who is the only female federal legislator from Borno State urged the 200 beneficiaries to make good use of the wheelchairs as she plans to bring more palliatives to cushion their hardship.

The socioeconomic challenges being faced by the populace is enormous and attempts made at managing these challenges have been diverse, because different groups of people are impacted differently.

The federal lawmaker, who is the Chairperson, Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians, African Region, called on the leaders of all political parties to ensure the inclusion of the women folk and people living with disabilities as Local government elections approach in the state.
