The Federal High Court of Nigeria in Maiduguri, Bono state northeast Nigeria dismissed a case seeking nullification of governorship primaries of the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress APC.
Dandal Kura Radio International report that the case was filed before the court on December 19th 2018, by the chieftain of the APC Alhaji Maman Durkwa.
Durkwa challenged the emergence of the Borno State governor elect professor Baba Gana Umara Zulum as the candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the primaries candidate on September 30rd 2018.
Delivering judgement, Justice Jude Dagat said, the court dismissed the case due to the in ability of the plaintiff to the file the case within period fourteen days as stipulated in the Electoral Act.
Dagat said the case is pre-election matters that must be guided by the provision of the law.
He noted that the case was brought before the court after the expiration of the period provided by the electoral act.
