Nigeria: COAS Concludes Strategies to Improve Security in Northern Borno

The Nigerian Chief of army staff lieutenant general Tukur Yusuf Buratai and his team have been in the theatre of Operation in last 48 hours accessing operational developments in the Northeast particularly northern Borno and have concluded strategies to improve security in the general area.

Jilli is a border town between Borno and Yobe states with close access to Niger republic and the attack on the town by the terrorist has been brought under control and Nigerian troops have since reoccupied the location as well as exploiting ahead.

Accounting to a statement by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu Director Army Relations wounded soldiers are presently receiving treatment in the military hospital.

He said military operations are normally of strategic national security value and urged the media to be cautious in reporting some of these developments that have national security implications.
