Nigeria: Buhari Commissions Mala Kachallah Memorial School In Maiduguri

The Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has today commissioned One Thousand two hundred and twenty bed capacity Mala Kachallah Memorial School in Maiduguri, Borno State Capital North-East Nigeria.

President Buhari while commissioning the project described education as the bedrock of any meaningful development.

Buhari who was on one day official visit to the state commissioned multiple projects carried out by the Governor Kashim Shettima administration in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari commended Governor Kashim Shettima for carrying out people-oriented projects especially in the education sector which was fatally destroyed by Boko Haram insurgency.

Nigerian president urged parents to take advantages of the facilities and enroll their wards to the schools so as enable them are mostly IDPs due to insurgency.

Conducting the president round, Borno state Commissioner for Education Comrade Musa Inuwa Kubo said the school was built to cater for the orphans and other children in the host communities who are mostly form IDPs Camp.

The President had after commissioning inspected various part of the schools which include classrooms, Hostels, Staff room, as well as instructional facilities in the school.

On his separate remarks, the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-amin Elkanemi commended the president for commissioning the projects under Governor Shettima’s administration.
