The police in Borno Northeast Nigeria have confirmed that politician and Gubernatorial aspirant under the PDP Grema Terab is in their custody over his roles in offences of culpable homicide, inciting disturbances and sundry other offences which occurred in his residence on the 15th of April.
The commissioner Damain Chukwu who stated this in a statement reputed newspaper reports, which suggested that he was being held for political reasons. The commissioner accused Terab of organising a political event in his residence contrary to police advice in which one person was stabbed to death.
The statement retaliated the resolve of the police to remain unbiased pointing out the Grema Terab has been charged to court.
