Nigeria: Borno state Governor Holds First State Executive Council Retreat In Damasak

The Borno state Governor Prof Babagana Umara Zulum has held first State Executive Council retreat in Damasak the former stronghold of Boko Haram with a view to inform them of the reality of post insurgency challenges of rebuilding process, reconstruction, rehabilitation and resettlement.

Speaking at the retreat which held at the Conference Hall of the Mobar local government Secretariat, Damasak,

Zulum said, brought this retreat to Damasak. It’s to remind the big challenges of insurgency and governance in crisis.

Adding that, retreat are usually carried out in Serene and comfort zone.

He said we are here to stay for few days our mothers, fathers. Sisters and brothers are permanent living here. Many decision are taken in serene environment, but I am of view that some time better decisions are even in crisis environment.

Also speaking, the Borno state Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Babakura Abba Jatau said the reason. Of being here is for His Excellency will tell us how to go about implementing his ten point agenda “.
