Nigeria: Bauchi State Govt Offers Air Force Land for Training

The Bauchi state government has offered a piece of land to the Nigerian Air Force to establish a training space for its fighter aircraft officers and men. A statement released the secretary to the state governor Abubakar El-Sadique, stated that governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, disclosed this in Bauchi on Saturday at the official commissioning of small arms shooting range and personnel accommodation at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Bauchi.

He said the donation was made to further encourage the Air force for its commitment to combat insurgency and other criminal activities bedevilling the country and its ongoing expansion of units and formations.

He said the State Government is planning to hand over a portion of land within the Lame Burra forest to the Nigerian Air Force for the purpose of establishing an air range to sharpen the fighting skills of operators of Nigerian Air force fighter aircrafts.

Governor Abubakar acknowledged and commended the achievements made by the Nigerian Air Force in enhancing national security.
