Nigeria: Adamawa Police Command Arrests 39-Year-Old Over Rape

The Adamawa state Police Command has arrested one Obiora Patrick 39 year old a resident of no.46 Hospital road, Jimeta, Yola North local government area for raping his 9year old step daughter on Monday 20/7/2020.

DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relations Officer Adamawa State command in a statement said the suspect upon his arrest volunteered confessional statement while the victim is undergoing medical screenings.

The statement read in part that the command calls on members of the general public to key into fight against Sexual Assault against women and children and caution parents/Guardians to closely monitor their wards.

The command further assures all of its commitment to protecting lives and Properties and calls on people to continue reporting to police any suspicious movement around them.
The statement therefore cautioned parents to keep monitoring their children
