A total of 8049 household in Taraba state northearst Nigeria are currently beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer programme across the six pilot local government areas of the state.
The unit head of CCT in Taraba state, Skerpa Useni who disclosed this also noted that 37, 000 people from the 8049 household are under going a two year training on how to invest their monthly stipend of N5000 from the Federal Government’s social intervention programme.
According to him within the two years which beneficiaries of the programme are expected to graduate, they would be subjected to a lot of life transforming training to enable them stand on their feet after graduation.
Currently, trainings are ongoing in Ussa, Takum, Sardauna, Gassol, Ardo Kola and Karim Lamido local government areas where the programme is currently running.
