Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has enjoined the new Shehu of Dikwa, Ibrahim Ibn Umar Ibrahim Elkanemi to give the necessary leadership to hanness the potential of the vast fertile in his Emirate.
The Governor made the call when the new Shehu accompanied by courtiers and other stakeholders of the Emirate visited him at the Government House to thank him over his appointment.
Shehu Ibrahim Ibn Umar Ibrahim Elkanemi was presented with the letter of his appointment as the thirteenth Shehu of Dikwa following the demise of the late Shehu of Dikwa, Muhammad Ibn Masta the second Elkanemi.
Governor Babagana Umara who appreciated the new Shehu of Dikwa Ibrahim Ibn Umar Ibrahim Elkanemi for the thank you visit over his appointment which he described as well deserved as the royal father is imminently qualified for the position.
The positin was also held by his late father and brother for over six decades, reminding all that the choice was made by the Lord Almighty.
The Governor lauded the resolve of the new Shehu to settle down in his domain and to provide fatherly support to the family of the late Shehu of Dikwa as well as carry along all the appointees of the late Shehu in the scheme of things.
He further assured the new monarch of the support of the Borno state government to enable him succeed in the discharge of his responsibility as well as provision of security in the domain and accommodations for his courtiers.
Shehu Ibrahim Ibn Umar Ibrahim Elkanemi expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum for his appointment, praying Allah to continue to guide and protect him.
The royal father pledged to operate in his domain, support the family of the late Shehu as well as maintain all appointments already made by the the late monarch and to carry everyone along.
