
The North East Development Commission (NEDC) at the end of a two day training workshop for North-East women participants in Maiduguri on Friday, presented certificates and Energy Efficient Stove packs each to all the women participants.
While presenting the certificates and Energy Efficient Stove packs to the participants, MD/CEO of NEDC, Mohammed G. Alkali, urged the trainees/ women participants to endeavour to also train other women on how to use the efficient stoves.
Alhaji Alkali disclosed that the workshop is a continuous one as other women will also benefit from the programme which is holding simultaneously in all the six states of the North-East region.

In her closing remark, the facilitator, who is also the Head Administration of the Lake Chad Research Institute Maiduguri, Hajiya Fatimah Mustapha, thanked the women participants, the media, stakeholders, and the Borno State Government for organizing and supporting the workshop.
Earlier, the facilitator, who trained the participants on the use of Energy Efficient Stoves, which are manufactured by Integra Renewable Energy Services Ltd, had demonstrated to the women on how the Energy Efficient Stoves can be operated and maintained.
