Today is Tuesday that effect the day of celebration of Eid Al-Fitr all over the world including the northeastern Nigeria, a region devastated for ten-year by insurgency of the terrorist group Boko Haram.
Despite a recent spate of deadly attacks in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State that wouldn’t stop the Internal Displaced People and the people of Borno to celebrate the festive season.
The Imam of Asar’s Eid ground New GRA Maiduguri, Imam Rawana disclosed in his sermon that Muslims should be in charge of good activities that will benefit them in their daily activities.
He prayed for the restoration of peace and unity in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa, the states affected most by the insurgency and also prayed for peace in Zamfara.
Tijjani Dikwa and Baba Shehu are among the people that attend the Eid prayers, they expressed their gratitude to the Almighty for sparing their lives to witness the celebration.
In another development Muslims have been urged to maintain the spirituality they attained during the fasting season.
