Lecturer, 3 Staff Dismisses In Adamawa College Of Education Over Certificate Forgery

Three staff including a lecturer with the College of Education COE Hong, Adamawa State has been dismissed over certificate forgery.

Provost of the College, Dr. Yusuf Benson Baha who confirmed this in an interview said due process was followed in terminating the appointment of the affected staff.

Doctor Baha said the affected staff that appeared before the committee set up to look into the issue of certificates confessed of possession of fake certificates-in the course of investigation, another staff was found to have facilitated the forgery.

The Provost stated that the results were issued by staff of the College and they were employed in the College, while the lecturer was due to his performance in teaching.

He said after the committee sat, and brought their findings to the management, the management made recommendations to the council and the council approved their termination of appointments.

Doctor Baha said the measure will serve as a deterrent to others, as the present management of the institution is bent on seeing that right is done for the betterment of the institution and society at large.
