In an elaborate event on this year’s Valentine’s Day, the people of Lamurde were treated a surprise distribution of empowerment materials to not fewer than 200 beneficiaries by the Member Representing Numan/Demsa/ Lamurde Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. Kwamoti B Laori.
The event which was the first of its kind ever to be arranged by the Law maker attracted applauses and commendations as it was also celebrated amidst pomp and pageantry.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon Laori reminded the constituents that the gesture was part of his campaign promise in 2019 where he informed that he will engage in Youth empowerment, infrastructural development and to also help in tackling security challenges in the area.
Laori further highlighted some of his recorded achievements in the last two years to include the facilitation of youth employment into the public sector, training and cash support to all categories of persons.
The member further stated that the distribution of the empowerment materials was done in view of the abundance of intelligent human capital in the area. He advised that if put to good news can minimize poverty and unemployment.
The Hama Bachama who was represented by the Kpana Rigangun applauded the gesture saying it will go a long way in alleviating poverty in the area.
