The Lake Chad Basin Governor’s Forum has committed itself to regional stabilization, Recovery and residence within the Region.
This is part of their agenda for their forth coming meeting in Niamey, Niger Republic from 16-18 July, 2019.
The forum will stress the urgent need for a comprehensive, multi-sectorial and coordinated national and a cross-border effort to meet humanitarian challenges.
The meeting will also discuss need to move from emergency humanitarian response toward a more long-term development and environmentally sustainable programs
The regional stabilization strategy therefore places great burden on the governors and civil society organizations toward implementing sustainable solutions.
